Breaking up isn't something that I thought I'd be doing with Kyle for a long time. And I never expected it to be this melancholy and sad and trite. But here we were, on the banks of the river, sitting on a bench, and I was near tears. Kyle and I had met at a party 2 months ago, and we had hit it off right away, even though he had tried using a pretty lame pick up line (Didn't we take history together? Don't we have a history?). I had laughed it off because I thought he was cute, and we spent the rest of the evening laughing and dancing. The next day we had dinner together and he asked if I would date him. Dates turned into a relationship, and I was thrilled, thinking that now I was done with bars and clubs, I had found the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I didn't realize he'd ever think of cheating on me.
